Time tomorrow, for a very long trek, among the mountainous tomes out there, which still have so much to teach us... DSD
I call these "Summit Stones"..... After gathering these small rocks for many years, while out on adventures, I now splash a bit of paint on them, after 'Mixing In' very special elements with the colors. Then I give these stones back... The musings here are simply about the wonders of adventure and inspiration. It's all about the importance of giving back and passing forward.....

I am one of those "some people" and this post of yours DSD makes me think I should pay more attention to what it is I learn each time I am out there!
I wonder what you will learn on your planned very long hike?
Myself as well Andra, and I did ponder much, musing about old friends and those I've yet to meet... Such levels of connection we discover when we wander...
I was reminded as well about how much I appreciate layers of old warm fleece.

Wander a whole summer if you can. Thousands of God's blessings will search you and soak you as if you were a sponge, and the big days will go by uncounted. If you are business-tangled and so burdened by duty that only weeks can be got out of the heavy laden year, give a month at least. The time will not be taken from the sum of life. Instead of shortening, it will indefinitely lengthen it and make you truly immortal. - JOHN MUIR
